words to live by

Friends are there for you no matter what. They celebrate the ups of life with you and are there to nurse you through the downs. I'm incredibly blessed to have several really good friends. Friends that would [and have] been there for me in the thick and thin of things. Friends that have literally saved me.

You've read about a few of them before and one of them is Tracy. Tracy is the original "other pea in my pod" and I don't know what I would have done without her in the crazy days of Tahoe. [Read more about her here.] Tracy is a true friend through and through and there are times when I miss her like crazy. I've been lucky to see her several times in the past year and a half [my visit to Tahoe, our surprise visit to Sadie to celebrate her 40th, and last March when we flew to CA to see my nephew run in his first half-marathon] and had no idea she would be standing in my living room with Lee upon Lee's return from work today. Talk about a surprise!! [Apparently she's been planning it since June and has been in cohoots with Lee ever since!]

This is Tracy and I last night enjoying the margaritas at Superior Grill. I may still smell like the darn restaurant but the 'ritas, food, and company were top notch...

All I can say is that I could not ask for a better friend than Cyndi. I really had the best time and I hope she did too. She even broke loose and enjoyed the fair in the rain.
