pretty packages

Today was a success! Two boxes worth of packages were wrapped in anticipation of being shipped across the U.S. I wonder whose doorstep these will be arriving on. I guess its only a matter of time before the lucky recipients find out...

Now I'm REALLY jealous. Not only do you have your cards in the mail, but have packages wrapped and ready to go......You always find such cute wrapping paper! MOM

What beautiful paper! I would like for you to come to my house and wrap my gifts for me. I am sure that the lucky folks who get those gifts will want to leave them wrapped. You have such a knack for choosing paper.

This time of year is all about people getting together. I try to remind myself of how fortunate I am. Far too many people have more elemental worries—food, shelter and medicine.

Put in that context, wrapping paper and bows and overdone decorations become luxury items. I remember that my family and doing for those who are struggling are the only things that really matter at this time of year, and my stress and worries seem to all melt away.
